Since 1905
Four Generations in the Making
A Legacy Rooted in Tradition
In the heart of Bikaner, Rajasthan, where culinary traditions were treasured and recipes passed down through generations, our story began in 1905. A humble sweet shop in the historic Kote Gate neighbourhood became the starting point of a journey shaped by authentic flavours, time-honoured craftsmanship, and an enduring commitment to quality.
In 1950, we brought our heritage to Chandni Chowk, Delhi. As the flavours of Bikaner found a home in the capital, our customers gave us a name that would become our identity: Bikanervala.
Today, that same spirit lives on in every mithai we create. From slow-cooked khoya to delicacies shaped by hand, our approach remains rooted in traditional techniques, carefully selected ingredients, and the belief that some things are best made the way they always have been.
In 2003, we brought this legacy to Dubai, carrying our culinary heritage across borders while staying true to its origins. Our UAE operations combine traditional expertise with established food-safety standards, bringing the flavours of our heritage to customers across our growing network of outlets.
From a small sweet shop in Rajasthan to a beloved name across India and beyond, Bikanervala continues to bring people together through the flavours, rituals, and celebrations that make every occasion special.
Four generations.
One family recipe book.
The first UAE outlet opens in Dubai
Bikanervala opens in Al Karama, bringing pure vegetarian Bikaneri heritage to the Emirates for the first time. The halwais are trained at the family's Indian kitchens and travel with the recipes.
The first UAE factory opens in Dubai
A HACCP-certified production facility opens in Dubai to supply every UAE outlet with mithai, chaat prep, dosa batter and namkeen, made fresh each night and dispatched at dawn.
One brand, three emirates
Outlets open steadily across Dubai, then Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Each one is held to the same recipe book, the same ghee, the same service standard.
22 UAE outlets, three emirates
19 outlets in Dubai, 2 in Sharjah, 1 in Abu Dhabi, all supplied by one kitchen. Four generations later, the recipe book has not changed.
